He made the remarks in an interview broadcast on national television, when asked about the Foreign Ministry’s implementation of the law on “identifying goods produced with the support of Zionists.”
“Not long ago, we at the Foreign Ministry updated our list in this regard with the help of Iranian embassies abroad and presented it to relevant officials in this field,” he said.
Asked about whether there is a connection between domestic producers of Coca-Cola and the Coca-Cola Company, Safari said the domestic producers have confirmed that they have no relationship with the Coca-Cola Company.
He also said some of the medicines that are imported from Europe and the US may have affiliations with Zionists or Zionist supporters, but since the case is related to medicine, the country cannot stop the imports, but rather, would further strive to become more self-sufficient in the field of medicine.
Last week, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf called on the administration to identify Israeli goods being sold in Iranian markets and prevent their importation.
“The Foreign Ministry must compile a list of goods produced companies whose main shareholders are the Israelis,” he said. “The administration is also obliged to take necessary measures to prevent the import of these goods.”
